Need help from someone you can trust? This is the place. I've had service at Bennett's three times in the last year and couldn't be happier. The first time I was in, I got to listen to the guy at the counter (Larry) talk to two customers before me. He first gave a man a great explanation of why a repair was complete, but less costly than estimated. Then he provided a woman with a very detailed but clear analysis for the condition of a car she had brought in to be looked over before her son bought it. It was easy to see that both customers were happy and felt like they had gotten a good deal and good information. This shop does not talk down to anyone, and they don't BS or schmooze their way through customer interaction. I've had coolant leaks fixed, an intermittent "check engine" warning light analyzed and fixed, and a suspension issue resolved. All done timely and at a reasonable price. The other reviews are spot on. This is an honest shop doing really good work and not looking to gouge you or add on extra services. Highly recommended.

Excellent shop. We will never stop bringing our vehicles here. They are honest and reliable, and they aren't looking to make a quick buck. On one occasion, I brought my car in for an oil change based on the sticker date, but it wasn't ready for one. Rather than just doing the oil change and taking my money, they told me I should take it back and drive it for a few months before spending the money on it. Aside from that, prices are reasonable and everyone is kind. I've even called here to get recommendations or opinions on towing companies, body shops, etc., and Larry is always willing to help. Great place and great people.

I came over to Bennett's to get a code checked after my engine light came on to ensure that my car was still good to go. They did this free of charge and assured me that it was fine to drive for now. A lot of places take advantage of women coming in knowing nothing about cars, and they try to sell unnecessary stuff, but they don't do that here which is appreciated! I will definitely be back for any future car issues I run into down the road 🙂

Amazing service every time I’ve had issues or needed something fixed in my car. Considering the location they are so affordable and go above and beyond with their customer service. You have issues with your vehicle, take it here. The best by far.

Absolutely love Bennett's. I've been a loyal customer of theirs for years now. They've done great, reliable, reasonably priced service and maintenance every time. I've taken my car to a couple mechanics around Madison in the past and once I found Bennett's, I stuck with them! I really love how thoughtful they are about the service they recommend and provide. It's important to me to feel informed, and everyone I've met at Bennett's has been great about that. They also let me know when some services would be valuable, but aren't necessary quite yet - that helps give me an idea of what I should expect coming down the line, especially since I have an older car. They're very popular, so typically they're booked out a week or two before they can get you in for less-pressing matters, but they seem to do everything they can to get you in as soon as possible. They work with whether you need to sit there and wait or if you'll return later for pickup, and prioritize issues appropriately. Some of the things I've had done at Bennett's include: • routine maintenance, like oil changes and milestone service (100k, etc.) • car inspection for a vehicle I was considering purchasing • brakes, headlights, and other things that have come up with my car over the years • many more things I'm just not remembering right now :) I keep returning because the service is top notch, the people you talk to are very helpful and will take the time to explain things to you if you like, the people who work on your car are respectful and professional (my car always comes back to me in pristine condition and clean), and the prices are reasonable. I've never felt Bennett's was trying to overcharge me for anything. They take the time to build that trust and just do a good job. 10/10!
