Disaster struck while my family and I were on vacation. Our family van threw some errors and started driving a little rough. This was about 70 miles from Madison, but we were scheduled to stop in town. We kept our fingers crossed and arms folded as we carefully drove it into Madison. After getting the code read, it was pretty serious. Without help, we would have been stranded with no vehicle for the trip and no way to get home. To make matters worse, it was a Friday night. Luckily, Mr. Marquez understood our situation and got us in on a Saturday when the shop is usually closed. He worked tirelessly trouble shooting and fixing our van. Among our many problems, there was a sensor that had become very dirty that was causing a misfire. Mr. Marquez could have replaced the sensor, but he didn't want to until he could clean it to see if it would still work. I admire his integrity because it would have been very easy to take advantage of us. He could have done a quick, sloppy job because he was already working on his day off. Fortunately, that wasn't the case. Mr. Marquez took great care of our family van. He got it fully functional, and we safely made it home without any issues. His prices were the best I've seen in a long time. He didn't charge us for the cleaning he had to do, or anything extra because of the rush we were in or even that it was his day off. I really wish he lived closer to us because he was great to work with! I can strongly recommend Marquez Auto Repair to anyone. If you have a serious issue or not, Mr. Marquez is the guy you want working on your car. This was the best experience I have ever had with a mechanic. Considering how many things could have gone south, I feel very blessed to have worked with Mr. Marquez. Mr. Marquez, thank you so much! You helped keep our vacation fun when we were out of options. I really hope you continue to have success because of your kind heart and talent for fixing cars.

The service was excellent and the communication was on point. The price was fair for the work that was done, I am happy with the results and love how my car feels. I would recommend this mechanic to my friends and family. He also speak both English and Spanish which is a plus.

Update Aug 2024: I feel loyalty to Jesus Marquez as he's been a neighbor and a friend for more than 5 years. He is very busy though and only has one base so it's very convenient if you can leave your vehicle there for a day or two. It's definitely worth the wait. Bilingual and extremely reasonable on price compared to other shops in the neighborhood. He knows a lot of people too so if you need a car or have a car to sell he probably knows someone. Get in early. 3 + years ago....He was the only shop that would look at a car quickly for me without an appointment. I was selling a car and the person just wanted a mechanics unbiased opinion and he said he would do it and we could come over right then... it was awesome. So, I had them do some struts on my 1997 Toyota Corolla gold package and it was very reasonable. But this shop is booked up so you have to get in line but it's well worth the wait if there is any. Just honest work for honest costs. So a lot of customers return and his clientele base is getting big. Hence the wait time for bigger jobs. A+ work. A+ shop Thanks Jesus, Marquez Auto Repair

Mr Marquez revived my vintage RV for a fair price quite close to his estimate, despite additional problems coming to light during the repair. He diligently sourced hard- to- find parts and kept the vehicle at his lot for over two months while doing so. At the end, for a better price than others had quoted for the primary repair, he had tinkered with or replaced most critical systems in the vehicle and it runs like a dream. The job was frustrating but he saw it through!

I have known Marquez for being a good mechanic with descent prices, but people change. In September 2023, I took my car for both rear wheel bearings change, both calipers, both rotors and all pads. The price was around 1200 dollars. A week ago the rear left wheel was just going crazy with a grinding noise. After checking with him, he kind of ignored me saying that the parts are bad quality without forgetting he was the one who bought and put them on. Marquez used the grinder on the hubs in order to get the old bearings retainers off. To top it of, when he put the new bearings on he forgot or ignored to secure them with new retainers. The left bearings failed after 6 months and the worst the work was a risk he put me and my family in. I have witnesses of the Mechanic and his employees that have redone the work after him.
