Matt Anderson serviced my HVAC system today and did an excellent job from start to finish. Before he even arrived, I received both an email and a text message notifying me that he was on the way. I was also able to track his location in real time. The message included a photo of him, and he followed up with a personal phone call to confirm his estimated arrival time. That level of communication gave me a lot of confidence before he even stepped through the door. Once he arrived, Matt was efficient and professional. He started by checking the furnace in the basement and took the time to answer a few unrelated questions I had about installing a smart thermostat. Even though that wasn’t the reason for the visit, he gave helpful feedback and never made me feel rushed. He explained what he needed to do outside, completed the work, and then walked me through what had been done and what still needed attention. I also asked him about a recent spike in my energy usage, and he identified two likely causes: dirty coils and low refrigerant. He explained how both of those issues could be driving up my kilowatt usage and how today’s service should help improve efficiency. I use an AI-based transcription tool to keep a record of these types of conversations, and Matt was understanding and patient throughout the process, which I really appreciated. All in all, I’m very satisfied with the work Matt did and the way he handled the visit. He was knowledgeable, courteous, and made sure I had a clear understanding of my system’s condition by the time he left. That kind of service really stands out.

Eddie Johnson was professional and courteous and took the time to answer all my questions. I was concerned about an odor in the area around my furnace and he thoroughly checked for even the smallest of gas leaks and found none which gave me great sense of relief. He found that my AC capacitor was on its last leg and replaced with new. Eddie was so thoughtful when I expressed worry about the cost of new capacitor on top of the inspection fee, he actually waived the inspection fee for me. I will definitely use this team again.

DJ Hoover was fantastic—he diagnosed the issue with my AC right away and found that the thermostat was broken and needed to be replaced. He quickly swapped it out for a better model and got everything running smoothly again. I really appreciated how knowledgeable and efficient he was. He also went above and beyond by recommending a whole-home surge protector to safeguard not just the thermostat and furnace, but all the electronics in the house. I thanked him for the suggestion and told him I’d love to consider that in the future. Just waiting on the quote now! Highly recommend DJ for his professionalism, clear communication, and quality work! Follow up visit: Noah Beeli was excellent to work with. He quickly identified that the capacitor in our furnace had failed and also noted that the blower motor bearings were struggling. It was a three-legged race between our 2018 A/C unit and our 2010 furnace. He pointed out that while replacing both components would get things running again, the furnace itself was already 15 years old. After discussing it with my wife, we decided it was time to replace the whole furnace. Noah gave us a fair quote, was very knowledgeable, professional, and easy to talk to. He assured us we’d have working A/C by the afternoon. I’d definitely recommend him to anyone. Still five stars for Five Star Home Services.

Honest, professional and easy to work with. I am extremely happy with the service and value I got dealing with Grove City Heating and Air. I got multiple quotes for an air conditioner and was honest with them. The salesman made me decide to go with them, and even slid us into an earlier slot with text message communication later that night. Installers came out the next day and now have a cool house. We just had our AC and furnace replaced through Five Star and so far we are very pleased! The techs (David and Jason I think) were very professional and efficient.
