🔧 Home Service Plan of Ohio - HSP Home Warranty

We moved in to our new home at the beginning of July. We had some A/C and plumbing issues as soon as we moved in and prior to receiving our welcome packet. HSP worked with us after the fact to resolve some of the out of pocket expenses we had as well as getting a plumber out to help with a separate issue afterward. We love the home and are now experiencing our third plumbing issue and have already been in contact with HSP and feel confident they’ll be able to help us resolve it. Issues in new homes are extremely stressful, but once we began working with HSP some of that stress was alleviated knowing that we could rely on them to help us solve our problems. We’re grateful to our realtor for negotiating a home warranty in to the purchase of our home because without HSP, our expenses would be out of control within the first month of owning a new home.

I’m so grateful for the support I’ve received from the team at HSP! Every time we’ve had a question or needed to submit a claim—especially when it comes to major appliances in our home—they’ve been responsive, helpful, and timely. One thing I truly appreciate is their consistency. No matter the issue, I’ve been treated with care and professionalism—and I believe that matters, because every homeowner deserves the same level of service. The folks at HSP are really the best. whether repairs to an appliance or it's replacement, they are quick to help. This is what a home warranty plan should be. We recommend them most highly.

Until today I have had nothing but great things to say about HSP. I have even referred family and friends to this company. I called and report that I sold my home to them in August of 2023, and was astute that my warranty would be terminated and there was nothing else I needed to do. The company continued to charge me month after month for a warranty on a home I no longer own. In March of 2024 I received a notice saying I had a past due bill. Ignored because I was told it was a cancelled already and the bill was paid in August and September of 2023. I realized again in February 2025 that I was still b charged for this warranty and reached out and left a voicemail due to their office was closed to due to the entire staff having the flu. I spoke with a young lady by the name of Drea on 4/16/25 and was told they would look into it, as she told me she seen where I had informed them that I sold the home in August 2023. Today I received a text message telling me that I could only be refunded $330.00 from August 2023 to January 2024. Stating it has been to long of a time. When I spoke to Drea today and gave her my name the attitude completely changes telling me either take the $330.00 or get nothing. I told her I would call back because I needed time to research who I spoke with and after researching Drea is the one I spoke with back in August 2023 and she said I did not have to do anything else . As Drea stated they the same individuals who have been working for this company and no one knows anything about me calling. Today Drea tells me that I should have put it in writing that I wanted my warranty terminated. I was going to start a new policy with HSP for my new home, but after today . I will take my business elsewhere. Drea did not provide good customer service and was very rude and nasty. I will not be recommending anyone else to this company due to the treatment I received today on 4/18/25.

ALL NEW HOMEOWNERS NEED A HOME WARRANTY THROUGH HSP!! Literally the best investment EVER! I never have to worry about trying to find reputable plumbers or electricians. They do the work for you! They are very timely and efficient. Everything that is “covered” is laid out point blank so there are no surprise denials. I don’t know what I would do without this company as a new homeowner!
