I really wanted to support a local shop, but this just didnt work out. Took my car in for what should’ve been a simple fix. They gave me a vague estiimate and then charged way more when i came to pick it up. No clear explanation, and now my check engine light is still on. Disappointed, won’t be returning.

Had previous work done in my Jetta there. No issues, BUT Recommended my Son go there to buy a good used car-Bot that was a HUGE MiSTAKE!! This Guy is a Joke! Told my son and I both catches a new rebuilt transmission put in and after my son pays 2000$ ( owner insists CASH) for this Ford Focus, drive away. Next Day drive to work with loud noises and stalling in traffic ! Needed new Starter , my son had my sisters mechanic install it. No problems. Now same thing is happening and car will not stay started! He took it yesterday to Columbus Transmission and they Diagnosed it with “ BAD TRANSMISSION “!!!! WTH Calvin??? Owner will NOT answer text messages or calls from us. He told me my son was told after he purchased the vehicle to not come back with any “ headaches “ and he was not responsible. I feel so bad for my son who is now out 2000$ and no running car! What a SCAM they run there ! DO NOT LET THEM Work in your car or you will REGRET it! A new Transmission will cost him 4300$ per Columbus Transmission and HE does not have that money. DO THE RIGHT THING Calvin! Shame on you !

Do not take your vehicle here or buy a car from Calvin. If the other 1 star reviews aren't a good enough warning, take this one. I was in a bad spot with an unsafe, falling apart car when I went here to buy a car due to a recommendation from a family member's coworker. I took the only 2 grand i had left out of my 401k to buy the car, which seemed to be in pretty good condition. Turns out the car got the good old "landlord special" treatment at his shop. Looked pretty on the outside, but under the hood it was a mess. Without getting too long winded he sold me a car with absolutely zero coolant in it, just plain water which was also low. Transmission has been replaced from a junkyard allegedly but turns out it's bad and needed replaced or rebuilt. Starter was bad and needed replaced. Battery terminals were jank. AC doesn't work and doesn't charge either, that's a mystery since the compressor is in there. Also the catalytic converter is bad. Car only lasted a month before I found out it needed over 4000 dollars worth of repairs which is more than the car was worth. He basically sold me a totalled car that he managed to get started and driving. He gets away with this because he sells "as is", but don't fall for it or you will regret it.

Purchased used engine for a Chevy truck..told them no rush. About a year later was told to tow it away they didn’t want to finish. They Lost my keys and I’m $2000 down one year later. My advice pay as you go and make sure owner is paying his employees so you don’t get the shaft.

Got my front wheel bearings fixed here. Fair pricing. Done in great timing. Calvin made sure I was aware of the fix and price. Simple, quick in and out. Will be back.
