🔧 Service & Parts Center - Germain Kia

Had some recalls worked on on my vehicle as well as my 60K maintenance done. Pricing seemed fair, but service was top notch. I really appreciate how they send a video walking you through what they want to do to your vehicle, then you can individually approve / deny each service easily from your phone. They had my car done quickly, cleaned it, and returned it to me good as new. I’ll definitely swing back by next time I need service from a dealer. Much better experience here than the dealer I originally purchased from (Jeff Wyler). Justin was the one who took care of all of the logistics and communication, and that was also top notch.

Just had a recall (bad oil seals) done. They replaced the engine and I had them do a half dozen other preventive fixes while it was in there. Very satisfied so far. Just picked it up yesterday. I think the only thing that could stand improvement is communication. The automated update system didn't function after I approved charges and phone calls went straight to voicemail. Took me awhile to get updates on the timeline. Not a big deal for us, because we have a spare vehicle. If I had a rental, I might have been more frustrated.

I’m not sure which is a greater inconvenience, DOING car maintenance or having it done, but Eric and the rest of the staff at Germain KIA have made it nearly a pleasure on every occasion since I bought my Soul a little over 2 years ago. On this occasion, I was able to schedule for Saturday on the day after the biggest holiday, with less than a week’s notice. I arrived early, but I was greeted warmly as they began my oil change and inspection, finding all of the items (even though I’d mentioned none) that were of concern, including the tires originally on the vehicle, as well as the rear brakes, also original to my purchase. These were noted early enough that I have time to comfortably have them addressed in the near future. The spacious lobby and showroom were immaculately kept throughout the building and complimentary beverages and snacks are available to those who wait. It took less than an hour to get back to my day, and they sent video documentation of all the (tires and brakes) concerns needing attention. Every employee there had a smile and polite greeting for me, and a phone charging station with current magazines helped me pass the time comfortably and quickly. Admittedly, I don’t have a great deal of experience with other dealerships, but at Germain, they are doing a great job, and I would definitely recommend them to people I care about.

Braden was polite and attentive. He made me feel at ease. I was a little disappointed in email from Germain stating my oil change was due and that since I bought the oil package I would not want to waste that service. When I arrived I was told that was only good for the 1st year. The email came 8 months after the first year ended.

I took my car in for service on 4/23 for, among other things, a safety check that included brakes. I was assured that my brakes were at 70% and had no needs at this time. I clarified this with the technician twice because I had been told by a previous servicer that my brakes would need to be changed around this time. On 5/30 my brakes suddenly started making an awful grinding noise. I took it to a local group who notified me that while my rear brakes were at 60%, my front brakes were at 20 and ZERO percent. There is no scenario where my front brakes were actually checked by Kia. Now I'm going to have to have everything that was done by the service center checked because if they didn't even bother checking my brakes what else did they miss? I'm beyond done with Kia. I've had other issues in the past and only came in because of a recall.
